You're all extremely lucky I half-forgot about this blog, otherwise you'd have had to put up with my rants about all the World Cup matches. Instead we'll just start with the second round match currently in progress: Switzerland v Ukraine.
Christ it's dull!
As I type we're into the second half of extra time and it's still 0-0. The commentator commented on a Swiss fan he'd seen earlier with a sign saying "Tickets needed for tonight's game, will pay top prices" and observed, "I wish we'd given him ours."
In games like this they shouldn't bother with the match and just go straight to the penalty shoot-out. That's two hours of my life I'll never get back.
